The 2026 edition has been the largest in Seatrade Cruise Global’s 41-year history, bringing together representatives from 125 countries, 12,500 attendees, 650 exhibitors, and 86 cruise line brands along with their suppliers and decision-makers who shape the future of cruising. ASIPONAS from 15 Mexican ports participated in the exhibition, 40% of which feature a presence of SSA Marine Mexico in Manzanillo, Tuxpan, Veracruz, Cozumel, Progreso, and Guaymas. SSA Marine Mexico stood out for promoting cruise arrivals at the Port of Veracruz. During the event, strategic industry meetings were held with Royal Caribbean Group, Margaritaville at Sea, and Akorn Destination Management, both individually and in coordination with the National Port System Administration (ASIPONA) of Veracruz. For its part, ASIPONA Veracruz promoted port capacities, infrastructure, and projects focused on serving cruises and passengers, which will strengthen the port’s presence in the global market and consolidate the Port of Veracruz as a strategic destination for cruise tourism. Additionally, the return of Royal Caribbean International was announced, along with the incorporation of new luxury lines such as Regent Seven Seas Cruises and the first arrival of Virgin Voyages, scheduled for February 2027. In destinations such as Progreso, where port modernization and progress in dredging the navigation channel have increased industry interest, 170 cruise arrivals with more than 496,000 passengers are projected for 2026, while for 2027, 156 preliminary arrivals are already projected, reflecting confidence in the destination.
