SSA Mexico CEO and the local port authority Director got together to discuss details on the expansion of a 4-hectare area for a total of 50 hectares in the country's only Specialized Automobile Terminal (TEA for its Spanish acronym). The additional infrastructure to be built will increase the storage and reception capacity for automobiles by 2,210 units, bringing the static capacity to 18,951 units. Lazaro Cardenas is the most important port of entrance for automobiles produced in Asia. In 2022, the TEA received a new record volume of 579,502 units, representing an annual growth of nearly 40%. With this new expansion, SSA Lazaro Cardenas reaffirms its commitment to continue investing in the port of Lazaro Cardenas in infrastructure and services for the automotive industry. We will keep on working on initiatives to enhance operational capacity at the port, benefiting customers and jobs creation.
